Advertising guru Leo Burnett uttered those words long ago, and the ad industry still swears by them. Noticed and believed - it happens when you understand your client's business, brand, and goals, and create an ad that captures all three. The Hotel Metropole sits on the oceanfront on Catalina Island.
Book covers are mini-billboards that must snag the reader's attention across a bookstore or a computer screen. Working closely with author and publisher, we marry the perfect image to a design and typeface that capture the essence of the book. The writer/publisher asked us to collaborate on the cover and interior of this book featuring posters from the film noir genre.
Each product, business, or individual has a unique personality and voice. Working together, we'll determine your brand's characteristics and find a way to visually express them. It's sort of like giving birth: what was once a gleam in your eye now has a body and soul. Creating a corporate identity is always an exciting process for us and our clients.
In an age of digital media, publications stand out. Print says your organization is stable and valuable. Best of all, brochures and publications have a visible presence - on a desk, in a lobby, on a coffee table - which is why print remains popular. The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) consistently relies on us to design and produce Nature's Voice, a bimonthly tabloid-size newsletter circulated to their members.
An invitation is a promise: attend this event, and you'll be talking about it for weeks. Whatever the occasion-awards, entertainment, a good cause-the invitation should inspire an excited, Yes! I'm in. We love working with clients to make sure that happens. For an invitation to the Latin Recording Academy's "Person of the Year Tribute" to Juan Luis Guerra, metallic inks and a vivid yet earthy palette capture the strength and energy of the artist's music. This invitation for the cover of the British American Business Council's Festival Ball uses the image of the Union Jack reflected in Cinderella's glass slipper (what other image works better for a ball?)
