I learned a valuable lesson. Next time I purchase a property, I will check out the company managing it in detail. I have had more bad experiences with this managing company than good ones. They have a few employees, that I think are family members that are sarcastic and difficult to work with. One example is I had a difficult time last year after a flood in my apt. to get them to answer and give information to my insurance company.

This company is deplorable. They never return phone calls, no one knows how to answer a simple question because it's not their job to know it and they gouge you in fees for anything. Want to move in or out? That'll be $300. Want to get a dog? That'll be $300. Want to renovate your place? That'll be $400. Want to rent out your place? That'll be a 30% annual fee of your yearly maintenance.

The owner, Barbara, is the absolute worst! She tends to be a bully and will never side with the shareholders. Well, except maybe with her friend, who's on the board of one of the buildings. Which is probably why it's so hard to drop WestEx as the managing agent. There were even a few attempted break ins and not a single word was said to anyone that they should be careful or anything! 20 cars were vandalized in their parking lot and they don't have anything to say about it. Do yourself a favor, find a better building and management agency.

If I could give a negative star rating I would give them -5. They are the WORST management company to deal with. They lie, refuse to do their job and are rude as hell to shareholders. Barbara Groden is the owner and is the absolute worst of the bunch. She clearly has set the tone for all the employees to just ignore shareholders issues or flat out refuse to correct any issue that arises.

The board should be embarrassed and ashamed for keeping this company as it is a hindrance to everyone who lives in the building. These are not rentals and people cannot just move out yo get away from this problem. This affects resale value of every person who lives in a building managed by this company. Also, the environment of your building is affected by neighbors who hate each other and there are actual fights between neighbors since the policy of West-Ex is to tell you to call the police on your neighbors rather than to enforce the "house rules".

From Day 1 of living in a building managed by West-Ex, there has been nightmare after nightmare from living under these rude, unhelpful, miserable company. They constantly talk down to everyone who approaches them with a question or an issue. They also have the most ridiculous business hours I've ever seen, and rarely answer the phone, and always forget to call you back.

The ridiculous rules and regulations are non-stop, and even the notices they post in the building have a rude tone to them. Their incompetence and unprofessionalism made me it very difficult living under West-EX Associates management structure. They are unfriendly, unprofessional, rude, nasty and everything in between. The maintenance went up significantly every year and they charged me $2000 when I closed for 'Transfer Fees'. This company deserves to be shut down by the better business bureau.
