They have ignored all emails for months regarding the black mould issue which is covering the room. Despite constantly ventilating and heating the room, every time i leave the property i come back and it has grown so much.

Do not rent here. I would give 0 stars if I could. They tried to offer us 30% deposit back after charging us 455 for cleaning which would leave us with around 40 of our 150 deposit. The flat was not even clean when we moved in but we left it clean. They can't prove that we left it in a state. The fridge was so rotten when we first moved in, it was filled with maggots and there were dead flies everywhere but they claim it was clean.

The fridge was so bad they had to give us a new one. Over the Christmas holidays, our TV got stolen but when we reported it, it miraculously showed up outside our flat. The employee retention is dreadful because this is such a bad company, there were at least 5 different property managers when we lived there. The fire alarm went off at least 3 times a week for hours on end, morning, middle of the day, night time, afternoon.

One time the fire alarm rang before i went to sleep and was still ringing when I woke up. We soon stopped paying attention to it after the second time in August and just stayed in the flat during alarms. They would take hours to come and turn it off. You got so used to it that you could functional normally. at least the fire alarms worked. Horrible place, things would get stolen and it was always disgusting. Hot water would stop working at times but they always managed to charge us rent.

ATROCIOUS. Lack of communication between them and tenants, You'd have to wait a long time for repairs, Absolute no GUARANTEE you will get your deposit back (they'll fine you for the even the slightest bit of dust), we lost our whole deposit despite the fact we had professional cleaners tidy the house before we left. Clearly an agency driven by money rather than customer satisfaction.

Overall one of the worst agencies to go with, please think carefully. Also before moving in take PHOTOS! A positive from them is that they do advise this however when you do they still charge you for what they think is damaged and not reply for month and months! Beware cos you ain't seeing that deposit. The property may look nice but the people behind it are catfishing you. Goodluck.

The agents that showed us around the properties were very helpful, I'd give them 4/5 stars. But the incompetence from the staff arranging viewings, deposits etc, are awful. Firstly, I requested a viewing for one property, I got a text saying that the booking of the viewing was successful. But then I got a text the next day saying I had two viewings for properties I did not even request for and were almost 2 miles away from the original house I wanted to view.

So had to phone them to sort this out - the guy on the phone did apologise, and said he had no idea how it happened. We then tried to take the property off the market, they firstly sent us the wrong steps to take the property off the market, so after another phone call we got given the right steps. We then paid the fee to take the property off the market thinking all is good.

But NO! Get an email 2 DAYS later saying someone else had already taken the property off the market! Unbelievable service, so now we have just wasted a lot of time due to the incompetence of some staff over very basic errors. We are getting a refund. Shocking service, avoid if possible.

Had a viewing a few weeks ago with one of the agents Chris such a polite lad, very helpful. Definitely recommend purple frog to a friend customer service

They made many unfair deductions to our deposit after we left the house in a better condition than we found it in. They kept our deposit for 3 months whilst we tried to reason with them. They would not respond for months at a time after emailing and calling them multiple times a week. We had asked them to send us a check out report with evidence of what they are charging us for (photos and invoices from contractors etc.) - they refused to send any of this information over.

They then tried to offer a 30% discount in the deductions, trying to coerce us into settling so they can pocket the money. We didn't fall for this scam, instead we spoke to the regional manager who admitted they had none of the information they needed to charge us for anything (no photos, no checkout report, no invoices). This left them no choice but to give us all of the deposit back. after three months and loads of hassle.

The manager was also quite rude on the phone but at least he did his job like he should've 3 months ago. :( Do not rent with purple frog, if you are looking for a student house to rent go on unipol and find a private landlord - it will save you a lot of hassle.

Worst agency ever! It's been 2 months and still not heard anything about our deposit. They just take your money and don't care about you. Would take ages for them to even get back to us with maintenance when we were there. And there were a lot that needed fixing. Like for one, when we moved in, the toilet seat was broken. We had to go buy one for them to replace. Boiler stopped working and all sorts.

They don't even respond to email and when you call, they give you rubbish answers. They just lie to you. Honestly, don't even bother with renting with this agency. Save your money and go private, rather than with an agency. Would've stayed in that second year home if we didn't have less people

Marcella was absolutely amazing. I've had a difficult time in my house & she was so understanding, helpful and made me feel heard. This is so important to me and she's made a very stressful time for me a lot more relaxed and positive. She is a credit to Purple Frog.
