A high pressure salesman came to my door. He was throwing around names of my neighbors who use his service. I asked for a business card or brochure but he said he was paperless. His non-stop self promoting was over the top. he was pressuring me to sign a contract on his tablet and begin service later today. I again stated that I would not make a decision at this time and asked for his company phone number. He refused to give it to me yet asked again for me to sign the contract. I closed my front door instead.

I'm writing for my boss cause i doubt he would and for every other small business out there! $696.00 to renew a certificate of Accreditation?!? That's theft. Maybe once a year someone calls in a says they found us off the BBB website, and no way this customer spends $696.00. It's literally just a piece of paper if not a digital copy and i'm sure he's gonna end up paying it. IDK

The place is Vnt Realty at 2248 West Foster in Chicago. This Asian owned real estate company bought a building I was living in for 13 years that was in foreclosure. They were very discriminative towards African Americans for five years they would not fix anything and would never offered me lease and always told me if I didn't like it I can leave. On April 4 2022 they made that choice for me. At 8pm They told me I had 30 days to move because they rented my apartment out to someone else That was the most dirty and rottenest thing anyone has done to me

A non customer left a review, anonymously, attacking the employees of our company personally. The review clearly states that we never worked for them. When I called the BBB phone number I was told this review was verified as a legitimate customer. I asked for the name of the alleged customer. Was never provided with a name to verify that the reviewer was actually a customer.
The BBB will not remove the review or provide me the fake customer name, even though the BBB website says that no fake reviews will be allowed and that reviews not related to the business transaction will be deleted. This is a poor, unfair business practice that does not create a honest marketplace. It hurts small businesses.

I purchased a money order from the PLS STORE located at 2507 W 95th st, Evergreen Park IL. On 11/30/21, and learned on 2/1/22 the money order never arrived to it's location. I returned to the store on 2/5/22 at which time THOMAS the manager started a stop payment form. Actually he was working a window and back n forth training a young lady at another one.
I paid my $15 and they took my license and the young lady completed the form while getting instructions from THOMAS. On the 2/10/22 I contacted the customer service number to check status of my stop payment. Was told go back to the store. I did and they find the paperwork in a bin. That Thomas never processed. Fast forward to 2/21/22 told check was mailed, call back on 2/28/22 told check was mailed on the 28th.
Call on 3/3/22 told checks only go out on a Wednesday. So why was I lied to on the 2/21/22 & 2/28/22. Because both those dates are Mondays. Called 3/10/22 check was mailed out on the 3/3/22. Just called today told it's being processed. This is so frustrating. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PPL AGAIN

I bought a used car from a dealership and signed an arbitration agreement involving the Better Business Bureau as an arbitrator. I had a problem with the car. The sale included prepaid maintenance that the dealership wouldn't honor. I contacted the dealership 4X to resolve. I checked my paperwork and found the arbitration agreement which required working through the BBB. I filed my complaint with the BBB as required and never heard back from them. Basically, the BBB helped the dealership defraud me. Thanks BBB!

I have been able to meet and talk to the team at the BBB about small business owners and questioned if they would help us connect with other businesses so we could network and help each other. They have been more supportive than I ever expected. I know I will trust they will help when their services fit the request. The website has been member friendly they help us with out profile pages and more. Thank you BBB for looking after even the small companies.
